- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup heavy cream

- 1Bring water, butter, and salt to a boil; add flour and stir vigorously until dough pulls from sides
- 2Cool 5 minutes, then beat in eggs one at a time until smooth and glossy
- 3Transfer dough to a piping bag with a large star tip
- 4Heat oil to 375°F. Pipe 5-inch churros directly into hot oil, cutting with scissors
- 5Fry 2-3 minutes per side until deep golden brown
- 6Drain and immediately roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture
- 7For dipping sauce: heat cream until just simmering, pour over chocolate chips, stir until smooth
- 8Serve churros hot with chocolate sauce alongside
