- 1Brown ground beef in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat, 5–6 min — drain fat
- 2Add onion and garlic, cook 2 min
- 3Add crushed tomatoes, 3 cups water, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper
- 4Break spaghetti in half and add to the pot, submerging in liquid
- 5Bring to a boil, reduce to simmer, cover and cook 12–14 min, stirring often
- 6Uncover, cook 2 more min until sauce thickens
- 7Serve topped with parmesan
