  1. 1Mix brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, 1 tsp salt, and 1 tsp black pepper into a rub
  2. 2Pat brisket completely dry; rub the spice mixture all over both sides
  3. 3Spread sliced onion on the bottom of the slow cooker
  4. 4Place brisket fat-side up on top of the onions
  5. 5Mix broth and Worcestershire; pour around (not over) the brisket
  6. 6Cook on LOW 8–10 hours or HIGH 5–6 hours until fork-tender
  7. 7Rest 15 minutes before slicing against the grain; spoon cooking juices over for serving
